The Spreading Ashes service from Honokohau Harbor offers a mariner’s send off with scattering of ashes, traditional circling, and ship’s bell. The ceremony lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, departing at 5 or 5:30 pm for 1-6 passengers at $300.

Spreading Ashes Ceremony
Ku’uipo Sportfishing staff provide a respectful spreading of ashes service to honor loved ones. Departing from Honokohau Harbor at 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm, the ceremony lasts between one hour and one and a half hours.
The professional crew performs traditional mariner’s customs including scattering ashes, circling the site, and sounding the ship’s bell. Guests are encouraged to bring loose flowers to set adrift during the ceremony.
