Scents of Nature Aromatherapy Workshop
The Scents of Nature workshop offers a restorative experience combining forest bathing with aromatherapy in a private garden sanctuary at Kahalu’u Gallery and Gardens on Oahu’s Windward side. This 2.5-hour session helps participants reconnect with nature and their senses.
Workshop Schedule
Participants arrive and check in at 9:15am, followed by a welcome and introductions at 9:30am. The guided forest bathing sequence begins at 9:40am, inviting mindful engagement with the tropical flora and its fragrances. At 10:30am, the aromatherapy workshop starts, led by holistic health educator Alexandra Avery, where participants learn about healing plant properties and create a personal perfume from essential oils. The session concludes at noon.
Benefits and Features
Spending intentional time outdoors improves health, and aromatherapy has long been used to enhance healing and pleasure. This workshop is led by Hawai’i’s first certified forest therapy guide, Phyllis, and includes a copy of Alexandra Avery’s book, Aromatherapy and You.
