Open Water Certification

Location: Ala Wai Boat Harbor, Ala Moana Blvd. Slip #70, Honolulu, HI
Duration: 3-4 hours per portion (4 total)

• $820 PADI Open Water class with eLearning + Nitrox Specialty Courses
• $230 PADI eLearning only (Needs dives to complete certification)

Class Schedule:

1. PADI eLearning: Self-paced from home
2. Confined Waters: Conducted at Majic Island. Quick review exam at the shop morning of the session.
3. Open Water 1 & 2: Saturday, 1:45 pm at Ala Wai harbor slip #70.
4. Open Water 3 & 4: Following Sunday, 12:15 pm at Ala Wai harbor slip #68.

About: Unlock the underwater world with our Open Water Certification. Small group instruction ensures personalized attention with a maximum student-instructor ratio of 6:1. Choose between eLearning or instructor-led knowledge development. Our course comprises three phases:

Phase I: Knowledge Development Understand scuba basics, gear selection, and dive planning through eLearning.

Phase II: Confined Water Sessions Learn diving skills and equipment setup in confined waters.

Phase III: Open Water Checkout Dives Apply learned skills in Hawaii’s waters over two days, completing four dives.

Complete Class Includes:

• PADI eLearning
• Rental gear (exposure suit, BCD, regulator, tanks, weights, mask, snorkel, fins)
• Four required training dives

Not Included:

• PADI Open Water Diver DVD and Log Book
• Personal Gear: Upgrade available for mask, snorkel, and fins

Course Structure (non-consecutive days):

• Phase I: PADI eLearning at home
• Phase II (day one): Classroom and confined water sessions
• Phase III (days two and three): Checkout dives

Note: Option available to finish certification (Phase III) if classroom and confined water sessions completed elsewhere; bring Universal Referral Form.
