This private tour circumnavigates the West Maui Volcano clockwise, starting in Kahului and passing through Lahaina town, once the Hawaiian Kingdom’s centerpiece and whaling capital.
The tour includes a visit to ancient petroglyphs south of Lahaina, scenic stops at Honolua Bay Marine Sanctuary, and the blow-hole. You will also explore a traditional Hawaiian village and learn about ancient political structures.
Additional highlights include visits to local artist galleries, ocean tide pools, a healing heiau (spiritual site), panoramic views of Haleakala, and options for a 5-mile ridge hike or stream hike through bamboo and ginger groves, depending on the season.
Rates: Private tour $598 for first 2 guests; $279 per additional guest (up to 5 guests max).
