The Wailoa River, meaning “long water,” provides an easy entry from a boat ramp, guiding you into Hilo Bay. Along the way, pause to admire the iconic King Kamehameha Statue and learn about the history of the Big Island. Discover the arboretum of trees, recognized as “The Largest of Tree Species outside of Africa,” shaped by the tsunamis that have cleared the area.

We had a bit of hiccup at pearl harbor, when waiting for the tour they had a glitch in the system and we did not receive our standby text. We had been waiting 3 hours to go to out to the memorial. It was time to leave, but Austin was extremely accommodating and made sure that we got to experience the memorial. This tour does not schedule a time for the memorial tour and you do have to wait. Make a reservation!! Highly suggest asking for Austin!
