The Volcano Direct Hiking Adventure is a full-day guided exploration of Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. This approximately 10-hour tour from Kona includes roundtrip transportation in a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van and expert interpretive naturalist guides.

Hiking and Park Exploration

Guests hike up to 3 miles on the best trail selected for the day, traversing ancient lava fields and active volcanic landscapes. Highlights include standing at the rim of Halemaumau Crater, hiking through steam vents and craters, and learning about native flora and fauna within this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Included Amenities and Gear

The tour includes access fees to the park, a fresh picnic deli-style lunch, snacks, chilled beverages, and all necessary gear such as trekking poles, day packs, raingear, bug repellent, and sunscreen. Booking and Cancellation Policy

Suitable for guests aged 6 and older, the tour offers a full refund with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within the period or no-shows will be charged the full amount. Group size is limited to 12, with prices starting at $234. Gratuity is not included.
