The “1 K” Flight

The “1 K” Flight Tandem Paragliding

Fly tandem with a USHPA certified instructor on this Maui paragliding experience. No prior experience is necessary. Participants must be at least 14 years old, physically able to run, and weigh less than approximately 250 lbs.

The flight begins with a 5-minute drive from the Landing Zone up Mount Haleakala through Kaonoulu Ranch pasture land to the Echos launch site at 4500 feet elevation. The flight time is approximately 4 minutes with a 1000-foot descent back to the Landing Zone.

This flight is ideal for big families, wedding parties, or groups wanting to paraglide together. No cliff jumping is involved—just running down the hill to fly silently like a bird.
