The Shark and Turtle Dive for certified divers is a shore dive at Mala Wharf, Lahaina, Maui, operated by Dive Maui. This 3-hour dive experience allows divers to encounter Maui’s resident turtles (honu), white tip reef sharks, and abundant marine life.

Dive Details

The dive includes one tank with up to 1 hour of dive time, all scuba equipment, and a PADI instructor guide. Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 4 divers per instructor, ensuring personalized attention. Standard 80 CF tanks are used, with smaller tanks available upon request.

Location and Accessibility

Mala Wharf is a short walk from the Dive Maui shop and is considered one of the best dive sites on Maui. The site features a sunken pier home to large schools of fish, octopus, eels, nudibranchs, and frogfish. Dive Maui guarantees turtle sightings or offers a second dive free.

Additional Options

Optional add-ons include GoPro and dive light rentals. The dive is suitable for certified divers aged 10 and older who can carry 35 lbs of gear into the ocean.
