Ocean Camp Maui: A Deeper Dive offers a comprehensive 5-day program designed for students entering grades 6-8. This camp provides an advanced exploration of the ocean ecosystem, encouraging participants to grow as environmental stewards by connecting with each other, the community, and the planet.
Daily Nature-Based Field Trips and Snorkeling
Beyond classroom learning, the camp includes daily nature-based field trips, featuring private snorkel excursions aboard PacWhale Eco-Adventures vessels. These hands-on experiences deepen understanding of marine environments and foster a connection with Hawaii’s unique ocean life.
Program Details and Enrollment
The camp runs Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm, with drop-off and pick-up at the PacWhale Foundation Discovery Center Classrooms located in Maui Harbor Shops at Ma’alaea Harbor. Enrollment is weekly, with the booking process requiring selection of only the first day. Subsidized rates and scholarships are available for Maui County residents to support family participation.
