Mornings in the Lei Garden Workshop

Located at 4900 Kuawa Rd, Kilauea, HI, this in-depth lei experience invites participants behind the scenes into the new lei garden and under the lei tent for hands-on lei po’o making. The workshop includes a guided walk through the lei garden to learn about native and traditional plants used in lei making, their growth, gathering seasons, and cultural significance.

Designed for garden lovers and culture enthusiasts, the workshop is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Check-in is at 8:45 AM. Please wear comfortable clothing and notify the organizers of any physical accommodations needed. The workshop is held in an open-air environment with some walking on unpaved areas.
