Participants will explore native Hawaiian forest ecology and learn about native birds like the Hawk (‘io) and owl (Pueo) inhabiting the reserve. The tour also highlights conservation efforts including carbon sequestration, regenerative grazing, and soil conservation projects.
The Bioreserve hosts a large variety of tropical fruit trees such as jackfruit, banana, pineapple, cacao, and pili nut trees. The tour concludes with a refreshing swim at Kikala Falls, providing a perfect end to the botanical exploration.
