Departing at 8am, this approximately 8-hour tour begins at sea level and traverses diverse terrain including sugar cane fields, rolling countryside, green pastureland, and old lava fields.

Highlights include:

• Visit Haleakala Crater at approximately 10,000 feet above sea level
• Explore the Haleakala Visitor Center with cultural and natural history exhibits
• Walk the Pa Ka’oao Trail (0.4 mile round-trip, 20 minutes) to see ancient rock walls and crater views
• Visit Pu’u’ula’ula summit (15-minute walk) to examine the endangered Silversword plant
• View horizons including Lana’i, Kaho’olawe, and Hawai’i (Big Island)
• Enjoy fresh pineapple and banana bread refreshments
• Stroll through a cloud forest featuring century-old cedar, pine, spruce, and eucalyptus trees (0.5 mile, 30 minutes)
