Meet at the Maui Pineapple Store, 870 Hali’imaile Rd, Makawao, HI. This hands-on educational tour immerses you in Hawaii’s pineapple heritage. Suit up in custom farm chaps and plant your own pineapple in Maui’s volcanic soil.
Journey across the farm to learn every stage of pineapple cultivation, from planting to harvesting. Taste fresh pineapples in the field and visit the processing center to see how sweetness is measured through Brix testing. Pack your freshly harvested pineapple to take home and receive an exclusive Pineapple Planting badge.
Farm chaps, spade, and gloves are provided for planting. Closed-toe shoes are required, and sunglasses and light layers are recommended. Check-in is 15 minutes before your scheduled tour with signed waivers.
