Explore native Hawaiian birds on this guided tour traveling to the Haleakala summit and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge. Spot native honeycreepers, Nene, Pueo, Hawaiian stilt and coot, and seasonal migratory shorebirds while enjoying sweeping summit vistas and endemic plants like Ahinahina.
Guests receive a Maui bird checklist with Hawaiian names, complimentary juices, fruits, snacks, and a full picnic lunch. Binoculars are available at no extra charge. Guides share ecology, history, and local myths throughout the tour.
Meeting & Pickup: Southside Maui pickup between 7:30–7:45am or meet at Maui Tropical Plantation at 8:00am. Tours run every Tuesday and/or Friday. Minimum of 4 participants required.
What to Bring: Rain jacket, warm layer, and comfortable clothing for cooler summit temperatures.
