Visit Hawaii Island’s only working salt farm, producing unique salt from deep ocean water drawn 2,200 feet below the surface. Located oceanfront within the Hawaii Ocean Science & Technology Park, the farm blends Hawaiian tradition, science, and ocean stewardship.
Enjoy a guided walking tour with an educational overview of the deep ocean water process and the role of salt in Hawaiian culture. Sample pure, flavored, and smoked Kona salts paired with fruit and vegetables, plus a sample of deep ocean magnesium mineral water.
