Kiting Lessons Kids Overview
Kiting Lessons Kids provide a fun and safe environment for children aged 5 to 12 to learn kite flying skills. The program is tailored to different age groups to ensure appropriate skill development.
Age Groups and Curriculum
Children aged 5-9 focus primarily on basic kite flying skills on land, learning about wind, kite control, safety systems, and proper kite etiquette. They may also do tandem body-drags with an instructor.
Kids aged 9-12 have lessons lasting between one and two hours. They start with land flying and ground school, progressing to tandem body-drags and solo runs when ready. Board use is introduced after mastering prerequisite skills.
Instruction and Support
Instructors have specialty training for the kids program. Lessons can be a fun group activity for siblings, friends, and families. Active support and supervision are required until children gain sufficient experience, usually around 15-20 hours and minimum age 12.
