Learn survival skills with KHA Island Survival Skills
The KHA Island Survival Skills workshop offers a 3.5-hour immersive experience focused on practical survival techniques in Kauai’s natural environment. Participants meet at a roadside fruit stand off Kuhio Highway at 8:30 AM, where early arrivals can enjoy coffee or breakfast.
After a short caravan to an undeveloped coastal location, the group gathers under ironwood trees for introductions and an overview of the day’s activities. Topics vary based on weather and group interest, including fire making, wildlife tracking, nature meditation, foraging, rope making, shelter building, primitive traps, water procurement, camouflage, and survival pack essentials.
