$185.00
The Hualālai Crater Experience offers a unique volcano hike guided by native Hawaiian Kimo in Kailua-Kona. Participants ride a 5-passenger ATV to an elevation of 7000 feet and hike to craters not accessible to the public.
Guests have the opportunity to plant a native tree at the site, contributing to conservation efforts managed by Uluha’o. The experience includes a locally made lunch served in a rustic cabin built in the 1950s by Kimo’s grandfather, adding a personal and cultural touch.
Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately for hiking on loose and jagged rocks. Weather can vary from hot and sunny to foggy and chilly, so bringing a lightweight jacket, sunscreen, and camera is recommended. Locally made snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. This exclusive experience is available by appointment only with host Kimo.
