The 3-hour experience follows a seasonal timeline. During winter (September 1 to May 31), guest check-in begins at 5:15 PM, with cultural activities at the amphitheater and VIP food stations opening at 5:30 PM. Food service starts at 5:45 PM and concludes by 7:15 PM, followed by the main show from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

In summer (June 1 to August 31), check-in is at 5:45 PM, cultural activities run from 5:45 to 6:45 PM, and food service occurs between 6:15 and 7:45 PM. The main show begins at 8:00 PM and ends at 9:30 PM. Early arrival is recommended to enjoy the full cultural and dining experience.

The Story Behind the Show

The legend centers on Pele, who falls into a trance and whose spirit journeys to Kaua’i, where she falls in love with chief Lohi’au. Upon awakening, Pele entrusts Hi’iaka with the mission to retrieve Lohi’au from Kaua’i and return him to the volcano. Hi’iaka’s quest is accompanied by her magical skirt and companion Wahine’ōma’o, enriching the storytelling.
