Located in Volcano, HI, Hawaii Forest Farms offers an immersive experience into the operations of a commercial forest farm and acres of high elevation tropical rainforest. Visitors can taste five strains of mamaki tea grown and brewed on site, with the option to take home a bag of their choice.

Guests may pick mature māmaki leaves and observe seedlings and plants at various growth stages. The farm features clusters of wild poha berries, groves of koa trees, ʻōhia, abundant hapu’u ferns, and other native and exotic plant species. Two groves of 40-year-old cultivated cook pines are home to treehouse compounds under continuous construction.

The regenerative forest farm cultivates native koa and ʻōhia trees in its nursery and outplants them in mamaki groves to mimic native forest ecosystems. Tours customarily conclude with a tasting and blending experience on the Hawaii Forest Farm lanai.
