Haleakala & Hawaiian Craft Tour

Experience a private guided tour with Hawaiian cultural practitioner Aunty Nan Cabatbat, former cultural adviser for Haleakala National Park. This tour accommodates up to 11 people and is available on Mondays. Guests meet at 8:00 AM either at Target in Kahului or enjoy hotel pick-up from South side properties (Kihei, Wailea, Ma’alaea) for free, or West Side properties (Lahaina/Ka’anapali to Kapalua) for $265.

On the way to the summit of Haleakala, known as the “House of the Sun,” Aunty Nan shares stories about Hawaiian culture, history, language, and natural resources. At the 10,023-foot summit, guests can marvel at the moonscape-like scenery, peer into the crater, and spot the unique silversword plant. The tour includes lei making to take home as a cultural keepsake.
