Halawa Valley Hike to Moaula Falls
The Halawa Valley hike offers a 4-hour guided tour through an ancient Hawaiian village to the scenic Moaula Falls. Guided by Kalani Pruet, a Kuleana landowner descendant, and his ohana, the tour provides deep cultural and natural insights.
Tour Experience and Highlights
During the hike, participants learn about Hawaiian history, local vegetation, and the significance of the falls. The trail is approximately 1.5 hours up and 1.5 hours back, totaling around 12,000 steps. Visitors can swim in the pond at the waterfall and are encouraged to bring lunch to enjoy at the site.
Additional Amenities and Requirements
After returning to the flower farm, guests receive complimentary smoothies made from fresh farm-grown fruit. The farm also grows cacao, and chocolate samples may be available. Participants should bring water, comfortable shoes, mosquito repellant, and swimwear if planning to swim.

The hike requires a minimum of four participants and is weather dependent. Children pay the same rate as adults, and there are no longer discounted child rates. Guests must carry out all trash as there are no garbage receptacles on the trail.
