AIDA Freedive Certification Course in Hawaii
The AIDA freedive certification course at Waikiki Dive Center introduces students to breath-hold diving through a safe and structured program. This course is led by certified professional instructors and is currently offered on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Course Structure and Training
The program combines classroom instruction, confined water training, and open water sessions. Students learn breath-hold physiology, safety, relaxation techniques, equalization, static and dynamic apnea, efficient finning, buddy procedures, rescue skills, and mental focus.
Logistics and Requirements
Check-in for confined water training is at 6:30 AM, and for open water or beginner sessions at 9:30 AM at 424 Nahua Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96815. Each class averages 3.5 hours. The course emphasizes comfort, control, and awareness to help students dive deeper and longer safely.
Additional Information
The course is suitable for those interested in underwater exploration, photography, spearfishing, or personal growth. A cancellation policy allows free rescheduling or cancellation with 48 hours’ notice. Group size is limited to 3 for personalized instruction.
