4 Hour Share Sportfishing Tour in Kauai

The 4 hour share sportfishing tour invites anglers to join a public fishing charter in Kauai with a minimum of 4 guests required to confirm the trip. Departing from Port Allen aboard the fishing vessel “Pi’ikea,” guests fish for marlin, tuna, and other species with all equipment provided.

Fishing Experience

After a safety briefing, fishing officially begins as the boat exits the outer break wall. The captain uses weather conditions and recent fishing reports to determine the best fishing spots. Depending on the season and trip length, fishing may occur just a mile or two offshore or up to 12-15 miles out.

Fishing is primarily done by trolling with artificial lures, with occasional use of dead bait, chunk bait, or surface jigging at buoys. Live bait is caught early in the morning when used.

Onboard Amenities

The “Pi’ikea” features an air-conditioned cabin with two couches, a stand-up fridge for food and drinks (no glass allowed), a microwave, a sink, and a full stand-up restroom. The back deck offers a large cooler for seating, a fighting chair, and plenty of space to move around. Additional seating is available at the helm with storage boxes and a hardtop canopy for shade.

Booking Information

The tour starts once the boat leaves the dock at Port Allen. Pricing begins at $200.00. This shared experience is ideal for anglers looking to fish with others in a well-equipped setting.
