Bike Maui Downhill Tour Overview

As the pioneer of downhill bike rides in Maui, this tour combines the freedom of unguided biking with the reliability of guided support. Your adventure begins at the MMC Cabana located at 497 Baldwin Avenue in Kahului, where you will meet your driver, review safety guidelines, sign liability forms, and get your gear.

During the ascent, your driver will share rich history, customs, and culture of Maui and Haleakala, including information about local towns, restaurants, and shopping options. Upon reaching approximately 6500 feet elevation, you will be fitted with a bike and helmet to begin your downhill ride.

Please note that the bikes used do not have gears and are designed exclusively for downhill riding. The route includes the famous 29-turn switchbacks through Haleakala Ranch, with views of the islands of Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Molokini. The ride passes through fragrant Kula with eucalyptus, ginger, lavender, and native Ohia flowers, and continues into the town of Makawao, known for its shops and eateries.
