Ohana Surf Lesson in Wailea Makena
Our most popular Ohana Surf Lesson is a private group experience designed for families and friends, providing a safe, beginner-friendly introduction to surfing. The lesson starts with a personalized land session covering paddling, stance, ocean safety, and pop-up technique, followed by in-water coaching with a 4:1 guest-to-instructor ratio.
Lessons include the option to purchase photographer images and complimentary shuttle service to Kalama Beach Park. The experience begins and ends at the Fairmont Kea Lani Ocean Experience Center, located at 4100 Wailea Alanui Drive.
Private groups can include up to 14 surfers. Guests age 10 and older are welcome. Non-swimmers must book a private lesson. Lifejackets are available for comfort.
