Intro Scuba Dive Maui – Discover Scuba

Discover Scuba in Maui is a two-hour introductory scuba diving experience designed for beginners. This guided dive takes place at Kaanapali beach and includes all necessary gear such as a dive mask, wetsuit, boots, and open-heel fins.

Lesson Overview

Begin by meeting your instructor and group at the meeting point for a short, beginner-friendly safety rundown. You will familiarize yourself with the gear and learn three basic problem-solving skills. After walking 75 yards to the water, you will enter and practice breathing through your regulator both in and out of the water.

Underwater Experience

Descend into very shallow water to experience breathing underwater. You will learn how to clear water from your regulator and mask and how to locate your regulator if it moves. Enjoy swimming underwater and exploring Maui’s beautiful coral reefs, home to turtles, octopuses, moray eels, butterflyfish, and parrotfish. From December to April, you may hear humpback whale songs during your dive.

This introductory dive is an excellent opportunity to spot the Hawaiian green turtle and gain confidence in scuba diving with Extended Horizons Scuba.
