Gain entry into a restricted-access National Wildlife Refuge with expert interpretive guides who are skilled bird trackers. The tour lasts approximately 11 to 12 hours and includes a deli-style lunch with assorted beverages. Trekking poles, binoculars, day packs, and rain jackets are provided for your comfort and safety.
Meeting points include Hawaii Forest & Trail, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Kona Village, Queens’ Marketplace, and Waikoloa Plaza. Guests should be prepared for uneven or rocky terrain and potentially cool, wet, or muddy conditions. The refuge access road requires 4WD and may not be suitable for guests with neck or back issues or prone to motion sickness.
