Along the way, enjoy distant scenic views of the highest points of the Ko’olau Mountain range (Konahuanui at 3150 feet), Mt. Ka’ala (4025 feet), Le’ahi (Diamond Head) volcano crater, Honolulu, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Kailua, and the Pacific Ocean.
The hike ascends approximately 600 feet in elevation and offers majestic tropical island vistas. The trip lasts about 3 hours and includes pickup from Waikiki in an air-conditioned shuttle. The hike is suitable for families with above average fitness levels, and sturdy shoes with good traction are recommended due to dirt and rainforest mud.
